Tripolar Radio Frequency

What is the Cost of Tripolar Radio Frequency?

In India the Tripolar Radio Frequency ranges from Rs 5,000 to Rs 45,000 depending on the amount of fat to be removed, sculpting needed, the technology used, and other miscellaneous expenses. In most cases, correction of Lipoma is May be eligible for insurance coverage but various finance agencies provide easy (Avaliable EMI – Zero EMI PAY MONTHLY ) facility as well.

This article explains in laymans terms how laser lipo, and in particular the Lumislim laser lipo works. Firstly, Laser lipo may be a new paradigm as far as being used as a body contouring treatment, but the use of this type of laser is actually long standing. Lumislim and similar machines us a low hazard cold laser diode emitter that is active on the 650nm wavelength. The way it works is this frequency of laser energy stimulates the fat cell membranes, changing their permeability. The cells lose their round shape, and intracellular fat is released.

Next, the fatty triglycerides flow out of the disrupted cell membranes and into the interstitial space, where they gradually pass through the body’s natural metabolic functions with no harmful physiological effects, and are used as an energy source for the body or passed in the urine as waste.

This process does not alter neighbouring structures such as the skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves. It is not merely the liquefaction of fat but instead it is the instant breakdown of the fat cells that occurs, otherwise known as lipolysis, laser lipolysis or laser lipo.

Why Sigma LumiSlim Pro?

Immediate Results
Completely Safe
No Starvation Diets
Long last & natural results.
Pain free treatment.
No consumables or disposals.

It’s Simple to use too. During a routine laser lipo treatment, up to four treatment pads containing the laser diodes are placed over the treatment area and secured in direct contact with the skin using elastic straps. Then two more laser probes are positioned onto the region of the lymphatic nodes closest to the treatment zone. Once all of the pads are in place, the clients can get comfortable and just enjoy the treatment or choose to pamper themselves with other simultaneous treatments.

Of course, results vary from person to person, but in 2008 RED magazine conducted a survey of a number of treatments and the results are as follows.

Treatment Name Type No of treatments Fat loss Cost

Alma Accent Radio Frequency 7 7cm 2,000
Smartlipo Laser/Surgery 1 6cm 2,000
Lipo-Smooth Ultrasounhd 6 5cm 880
Ultratone Electric pulses 12 4.5cm 420
Tripolar Radio Frequency 6-8 4.5cm 1,200
Lipomassage Motorised rollers 6-8 3cm 360
LASERLIPO Class 3B laser 8 19.5cm 1,000

The results of this survey were lucidly conclusive and demonstrate just how much potential laser lipo has as a business opportunity. Laser Lipo is best value for money, but the results often lead to repeat business and referrals, making this one of the most profitable treatments any beauty salon owner can offer.

When it comes to choice of machines, it’s a small market with only a few vendors. Out of all machines available the Lumislim is a clear leader in terms of quality and price, which means a sensible buying decision.

The next line of therapy to address the problem of sagging skin is to use some form of skin tightening device. There are many on the market and include devices such as Refirme, TITAN, or Thermage. Titan uses infrared light (IR) to tighten the skin, Thermage uses unipolar radiofrequency energy (RF), and Refirme uses IR and bipolar RF. The ReFirme or Polaris-Laser Lift is one of the most popular FDA-approved nonablative procedures for maintaining a youthful appearance by skin tightening. Unlike Thermage, it uses a laser combined with radio-frequency energy and pulsed light. The last method of skin tightening involves laser skin resurfacing. The older methods include the non-fractionalised erbium or CO2 lasers. The newer safer methods include erbium with profractional technology, the Fraxel or the gold standard Active Fx fractionalised CO2 laser. Many doctors, including myself believe a combination of treatments (surgical and nonsurgical) get the best tightening results. The Refirme (used to be called the Polaris) is probably my favourite method as it is not especially painful, has a combination rejuvenation laser, does not cause later skin damage and has a lot of experience in the cosmetic market.

Why do you like the Polaris-Laser Lift over other RF devices?

The box says “this advanced system incorporates three forms of energy to improve skin texture and skin colour”, but I technically like the Polaris RF because it uses bipolar radiofrequency, which has been shown to be safer and more effective than monopolar. Unlike less controllable and less safe monopolar, bipolar RF does not travel through the body and this means each treatment can be customized through the system’s computer to control the depth and degree of the heating process; hence the technology can focus energy to a specific depth of skin for more accurate treatment. Newer tripolar devices may even prove to be better again. I also like it as the RF can cause the collagen to contract and tighten over a period of time and the combination diode laser can help to reduce other problems, such as redness and brown pigmentation blotches. The procedure is also rapid and bloodless. It is usual to have four sessions of treatment are performed separated by three weeks. It is favoured by many celebrities including Madonna and Felicity Kendall.

How does the Polaris RF system actually work?

Nobody really knows how this system works but we assume radio-frequency (RF hereinafter) passes electrical energy through the tissue and resistance produces heat within the deeper dermis. This bundle of thermal energy can be accurately controlled by computer evenly to three-dimensional volumes of collagen tissue at controllable depths. This energy causes immediate collagen denaturation of the triple-helix, which is thought to be the mechanism for immediate tissue contraction. There is also subsequent new collagen formation (neocollagenesis) over the next month, which further tightens the dermal tissue and reduces wrinkles.

What are the benefits of Polaris-Laser Lift over other procedures and surgeries?

For a start, it is totally non-invasive. This means there are no incisions and no evidence to date of later tissue damage. There is no bleeding or bruising and the risk of scarring is minimal. A level of control can be achieved with the Polaris that is difficult with other treatments. It utilizes three different forms of energy to reach multiple skin problems. This means we can see an improvement in wrinkles, sagging and colour. There may be areas of slight swelling or redness that quickly resolves over a few days. Make-up may be applied immediately. You may resume all normal activities immediately. The full effect of your treatment develops over a few months following the procedure and can be expected to last for several months or years. As with any cosmetic procedure, the results can be expected to fade gradually over time, at which time the procedure can be repeated if desired.

Is it painful?

A Polaris-Laser Lift can be performed with topical anaesthetic cream applied about an hour before your treatment. Some patients do not require anaesthetic cream due to the cooling created by the stream of cool air that hits the skin during treatment. When the machine is pulsed, patients feel brief, heat in the treatment site followed by the immediate cooling effect of the air spray. For those patients who are sensitive, the topical anaesthetic cream is recommended.
What kind of results can I expect?

As with all RF devices, this is difficult to estimate. Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients the results are gradual over a three to six month period as the skin tightens and more new collagen is gradually formed. Depending on the area treated, the skin laxity and your desired results, multiple treatments may be required. Skin will continue to age as it has in the past and eventually you may wish to have another anti-aging procedure. Most patients will see fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth fill in, while the deeper frown lines and grooves are softened. Facial skin and the skin along the neck can be tightened providing a mild, non-surgical browlift or facelift effect. This tightening effect can be used to firm up loose or sagging tissue in other parts of the body. This same deep Polaris tissue heating may also have benefits for treating acne, acne scarring and stretch marks. Redness and brown blotchiness also gradually improve two to three months after the treatments are complete. The worldwide safety record of this procedure has revealed very few adverse effects thus far.

How much does it cost?

The Polaris is an expensive device (over 100k Euro) and there is only one in Ireland. It is normally costs 350 Euro per treatment and a group of five costs 1250 Euro. However, in recessionary times Ailesbury has now dropped this to 200 Euro per treatment or 4 for 800 Euro.

In today’s society, large and full lips are highly desirous. This is most evident in the large plethora of lipstick and lip care products as well as being one of the top places on the face for the use of injectable fillers. Despite the trend to go bigger, there are a few patients who actually want their lips to be smaller. Most commonly, these are non-caucasian patients who naturally have very full lips or someone who has a rare congential facial problem which results in large lips, medically known as macrocheilia.

Lip reduction surgery is a fairly simple procedure that can be done under local anesthesia or some form of sedation. It involves a transverse elliptical excision of lip tissue that runs from one corner of the mouth to the other. The key is the location of the excised tissue and the resultant scar. The exposed portion of your lip, the pink portion, is called the vermilion. The vermilion has both a dry and wet surface. The wet portion of the vermilion is the non-exposed part that sits just below the highest point of the dry vermilion (lip line) on the inside of the mouth. Removing excess vermilion here and allowing the lip to roll back and look smaller places the fine line scar in a non-visible location.

Reducing the size of the lips through this inside the mouth approach produces a modest size reduction, never a dramatic one. If one removes too much from the inside, the lips can have an unnatural rolled back appearance. In reality, the best place to reduce the visible size of the lips is by removing vermilion at the front edge where it meets skin. But this would create a visible scar which is why it is not done even though it is more effective at creating lip reduction.

Any form of lip surgery will create considerable swelling in the first few days after surgery. This is normal as the lip swells easily. (just think of when you just bumped it and see how quickly it swells!) As a general rule, the lip swelling subsides at a week out and the lip will look the same then as before surgery. You won’t be able to see visible lip size reduction until several weeks after surgery. So one has to be patient to see the results. Dissolveable stitches are used to close the incision on the lip as this is not a very nice place to have stitches that need to be removed later.

If someone wants fuller pouty lips, there are several options. One is cosmetic surgery. Procedures such as lip lifts and lip augmentation can give a man or woman larger lips. This procedure can be done on either the upper or lower lip. Lip reduction goes the opposite way – it can make the lips smaller. But like any cosmetic surgery, there are limitations and risks, so make sure you get the facts first.

Lip lifts are done to create the impression of a fuller upper lip. Basically, an incision is made under the nose, and then the skin is pulled up. This basically winds up revealing more of the underside of the lip, which makes it look fuller. If someone wants even more of an increase in lip size, augmentation or enhancement can be done, using implants. The implants can be man-made or human tissue. Injectable lip fillers such as Restylane, collagen or Juvederm are another option. Injectable lip fillers are materials that are injected into the lips. They plump them up and last for several months. Some fillers are made of different materials and last over a year. Fat can be used to augment the lips as well.

For someone who thinks their lips are too large, lip reduction surgery may be an option. After an incision is made, excess tissue is removed. This surgery can be done on the upper or lower lip.

Lip surgery has risks, including infection, bruising and poor outcome. Since the lips are readily visible, anyone considering this wants to make sure to use a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon. Cost is also an issue, with costs ranging from $1500 to $3000. This is not going to be covered by insurance, so you would need to find another way to finance it.
